About MedCalcTools

Independent clinical calculators, built on published equations.

MedCalcTools is an independent reference site that runs common clinical calculations from published medical equations. The goal is narrow and honest: take a well-known formula, show it clearly, cite where it came from, and let you do the math without a login.

Every calculator names the equation it uses and links to the body that publishes it, such as NIDDK, the American Diabetes Association, and the National Kidney Foundation. We do not invent guidance and we do not present anything here as a diagnosis.

What we are, and what we are not

We are a calculator reference. We are not a clinic, and the site does not claim to be reviewed by a physician. The trust in these pages rests on the named, published source behind each formula, a visible last-updated date, and a clear disclaimer, rather than on credentials we do not have.

Content is written by Naomi Foster, a health writer with Encore Editorial. See our editorial standards for how we source and update pages.
